Easter Fun

Easter 2008 was fun. The Easter Bunny left Mark a lovely basket with lots of treats and a couple of DVDs. The EB also hid add the eggs that we colored and Mark found them all. We made sure to count them so we don't smell one later! We then spent the day at the Warner house and let the boys run amok. Below, our hero Sporticus, tries in vain to save both Matt and PJ from each other. He's still a super hero to me though.
And here are PJ and Mark relaxing after eating a delicious meal. Although I find March Madness to be a complete bore, everyone else seemed to enjoy kicking back on the couch and watching all the games.
I threw in this picture from last summer. I had to scan it so it's a bit small, but so worth it to me. This is Mark and his girlfriend Maya. They were inseparable on the playground all last summer, but in September Maya left our school to attend somewhere else (religious I think). Mark missed her so much and today Maya was back!!! I walked in to pick Mark up and one of the teachers told me that Maya was back for the week and that Mark and Maya were together all day getting in trouble for talking too much! Well, when I came in Mark was a bit crabby and teary saying that he missed me and then Maya came running up to Mark grabbing his arm and hugging him. Unfortunately, Mark was being too crabby and said he didn't like Maya and she wasn't his best friend. Well, her bottom lip just began to tremble and she burst into tears. I felt so bad. She is the cutest little girl. I made Mark apologize and when we left I asked him why he would say that. He said it's because she has to go away. I think he knows that she's only there for a week and is maybe sad already that she's leaving again. I don't know. Kids.

We Wish You A Merry Xmas

Well, if this works it will be a miracle. I'm hoping that a video from Mark's pre-school Christmas sing-along will magically appear - after weeks of trying to figure out how to do it! Fingers crossed!

For those of you who don't know, Mark is the handsome young guy in the happening sweater vest :)

Clarification

Dear blog readers (all 5 of you! LOL), It has come to my attention that my entry from yesterday may have left the impression that my life is less than fantastic and that my loving, wonderful, handsome, exciting husband and I lead a dull life. I want to set the record straight that this is FAR from the truth. We have the most beautiful, sweet, adorable son ever created - and considering it took nearly 10 years to create him, he should be perfect! I'm not sure if you noticed, but there are a couple of pictures around here somewhere of him. He and my magnificent husband give my life such joy and make every day an adventure. I certainly hope that this clarifies my feelings about my life and it's level of excitement.

Now, on to other things. The gold party last night was fun and I made over $100 on stuff that I had lying around the house that I never wore. There were ladies at the party that made $700 and even $1,000!!! Plus, the hostess cleaned up as well. Now I may need to host one of these parties myself.

On a sadder note, I just found out that the husband of a very sweet girl that I spent summers with in Texas at my grandparents was killed in a car accident. This makes me so sad and just reminds me how your life can change in an instant. Please say a prayer for Martha Gale and her children.

So, I've been looking around and seeing other people's blogs and OMG, I suck!! Of course, I know that I'm just learning and all, so I'm hoping it will get better. I suppose that if my life were more exciting, that would make for a better blog. But when there isn't really a lot to write about ...
But, tonite I'm going to a gold party. You bring all of your old gold jewelry and whatnot and get paid for it. I'm not sure exactly how it's going to work but on Good Morning America this morning they had a story about how the price of gold is skyrocketing and how you can take your gold to a wholesaler and get money for it. So, this party tonite, I'm kind of sceptical because I know the hostess gets a percentage of the total take and obviously, the people taking the gold have to make some profit, so how much would I be losing? We'll see.
The worst part about going is that it is LOST night and Survivor night. Thank goodness for the DVR. What did we do before them?
Tiffany (my co-worker) and I have recently discovered that we are just TWO degrees away from Michael Jackson!! You know, like the whole Six Degrees of Separation thing. TWO from MJ. Not that I'd EVER want to meet him, but what a strange concept. I could, potentially, make one phone call and get MJ's phone number. We have decided that we should do a flow chart of all of the "celebrities" and how many degrees away from them we are. We really need to work more don't we?
So, in an effort to make my mother happy, here is a photo of the boy from Sunday at Jeepers.

Isn't he cute??? And no, I'm NOT biased!!!

March Madness

Well, Mom wants more so here I am.
We are totally sick of winter at this point and cannot wait for spring. Cabin fever has set it big time and in order to get out of the house and have a change of scenery, we took Mark to Mt. Clemens to see his cousins, Matt and PJ, for an evening of fun. We had a great time and Mark was super tired on the ride home.
Sunday we went to Jeepers at Great Lakes. The place is fun for Mark, but for some reason creeps me out. At least Mark didn't make me ride the rollercoaster with him this time. That thing is rough!!!
OK, time for random photos for Mom.
My personal guitar hero! Some of that gross white stuff that keeps falling all over the place. Looking forward to summer!!!
That's it for now.

For Mom

So, here I am again. This one's for you Mom. I'll just post random pictures for ya. There's my baby.... where has the time gone. I have this picture in a frame that has the same footprint pattern on it. The beloved binky. I thought we'd never get rid of that! Here's the Mickey costume Mom got for him. Still with the binky, oy.

I just love this picture because he's the almost same size at Pooh - and the look on his face!

So, that's it for now.

Christmas 2007

So, since things are a bit slow at work, I'm going to take the opportunity to catch up some more (and play with my newest toy). Christmas 2007 was, thankfully, uneventful and nice. It has been a while since our little family has had a nice, normal holiday season and we kept our fingers crossed the whole time.
Mark really enjoyed the season this year. He asked Santa for very specific things year, the biggest of which was a drum set. Since he's such a good boy, Santa brought him one.

Daddy also got Mark a guitar before Christmas since he couldn't wait for Santa and Mark likes to rock out on that as well. When I figure out how to flip the picture around I'll post that as well.

It worked!!

Well, it seems to have worked (Mom saw it!) so I guess this calls for another post. I'm quite sure that future posts will NOT be so often, but hey, new toys . . .
Let's see if I can get a few older pictures out here. I have some from Halloween. Mark as a police officer . . .

and Mark with the neighbor - a pirate (with a really scary dog with glowing eyes in the background!)

And Mark with one of his teachers - Cinderella
(shouldn't everyone have a teacher that looks like that???)
So, this gets me through Halloween, which Mark actually enjoyed this year (last year was tough!) He absolutely LOVED being a police officer, of course, since COPS is his alltime favorite show. Go figure. I think it's because when he was a baby during those midnight feedings, COPS was the only thing on television that would keep me awake to feed him. Plus, he loves the song.

Ta Da - The First Entry

OK, so I'm going to try and blog. We'll see how it goes. I'm hoping it goes well because then I won't have to feel so guilty for not sending more pictures of Mark to Mom and the rest of the family. Time is going by so quickly and I'm afraid I'm not documenting it well enough.
I register Mark for kindergarten tomorrow!!! KINDERGARTEN!!! Hard to believe that I have a child, let alone one that is going to enter kindergarten. I'm thrilled to announce that Mark will be going to an arts based focus school for elementary school. I think he will do well with that, as evidenced by his love of the drums. That's not exactly where I wanted the picture to be, but hey, this is my first time. Blogging virgin here. Anyway, Mark loves to play along with the Foo Fighters these days. Thank goodness he likes good music and not any of that kiddie music crap (Hannah who???).
So, I'm going to try and save this now and post it and see what's what. I hope it goes well. Keep your fingers crossed!!!
