First Day of Kindergarten

My baby started Kindergarten!
Ken and I both were able to go with Mark to his first day of school which was really more of an open house. All of the parents got to see his classroom and meet his teacher and afterward there was an ice cream social for all of the families. It was a great day
Here are Mark and Ken before we left for school.

Here are Mark and I meeting his teacher.
I never knew there would be so much paperwork for the parents of kindergatners! Mark and I got to take a little ride on the school bus together. He LOVES the bus and while I had no intention of having him ride it, the second day of school he insisted on going on the bus. I'm not looking forward to waiting at the bus stop in the winter.

Here is Mark sitting at his table in his classroom.

He's such a big boy now!

JCM

My wonderful husband got me 4 tickets to see John Mellencamp. He got some really great seats (row DD) from a friend, with executive parking and everything. I was so excited, but poor hubby couldn't go (someone has to watch the munchkin) so I asked my lovely co-worker Tiffany (hey Tiff!) if she wanted to go and because I am completely lame and have no friends, I asked Tiffany to bring along two of her friends (sad isn't it?).
So Tiffany and her friends came and picked me up for the concert and I'm feeling all cool and stuff showing them my super-cool great seats and parking pass. That's when Tiffany's friend is like "Yeah, I got some free tickets too and they are in row DDD." Yeah, that's the 4th row for all you non-concert goers!!! FOURTH FREAKING ROW!
Plus, she had some kind of super ultra special parking pass. Seriously. When we flashed the pass to the parking guy, he literally got on a walkie-talkie and radioed ahead "Black Jeep to #48" and we drove around and there was a space with a cone in front of it and they other guy moves the cone for the #48 parking space. So close to the venue that it was just ridiculous! We were so VIP it wasn't even funny.
So here are some pictures that Tiff's friend took. Some are zoomed a bit but we were so close that we got really good views when John was taking care of his jock itch. (ewwww).
It was a great show and now I'm totally spoiled.
This is zoomed just a little bit.
This is pretty much the actual view we had. I swear he was looking right at us! This is obviously zoomed but I love this shot. Thanks again to Ken for the original tickets and to Tiffany and her friends for going with such a lame dork with no friends and letting me use one of your super VIP tickets.
