Well, if you've ever wanted to know what soccer practice is like for the 3/4 year old set, here it is.
Can you even see the kids???
It was very cute and fun though. We really thought Mark was not going to do well. He'd been so excited for so long about going to soccer, but on the morning of he decided he didn't want to go. Then he decided he would go, but only to watch. Geez! When did he start thinking for himself, exactly? But, after walking an eternity and back trying to find the right field (it would have only been an eternity, but of course we went in the wrong direction, hence the "back" portion) we met the coach, who is really great with the kids and Mark had a wonderful time. He says, for now, the he is looking forward to soccer next Saturday.
I took this little video on my camera - not that I meant to, it just happened! Let's see if I can intentionally upload it here.
It's a bit grainy, but hey, I didn't even know I was taking a movie! HA! And look at my boy! Bend it like Beckam? blech! Move it Like Mark!! He really did have a good time and I hope it continues. Such good exercise for the kids, and apparently the parents as well.
After soccer Ken decided that Mark has to start earning his keep, so he put him to work washing the porch furniture. Being Ken's son, Mark was a natural washing not only the furniture, but the van as well. He is his father's son.
Thank goodness it is finally warm enough for Mark to do his all-time favorite thing, which is wear his bathing suit and play with the hose.
So, after a hard day of soccer learning, washing various things in the yard, it was time for some serious cruising time in his Big Green Racing Jeep. Could life be any better??

Well I hope he sticks with soccer, Cory loved it! I think he would still play if he could. And I am so glad you are doing this. It is nice to get to see pictures of Mark but I would like to see some of you too! Miss & love ya!
