Officially 6!

Once again, I have been remiss in my updating my blog. I'm going to try and focus most on Mark's birthday this time. He is now officially 6 and OMG, where has the time gone?

But, to start things off, I remember when Mark was a tiny little baby (sniff, sniff, seems like yesterday - but that's not the point here) and he really did look just like me when I was a baby. Well, now that he's growing (too fast!) people are now remarking about how much he looks like Ken now. Maybe I have just had a mental block about this because while I would nod and agree with all of those who made these comments, in my head I'm saying "Nah, he looks like ME!" Well, now there is photographic evidence that this child not only looks like his Daddy, he has Daddy's mannerisms, even while sleeping!!

Anyway, as long as we have lived here this beautiful tree has faithfully blossomed every spring and every year I have missed the opportunity to capture the full beauty of it in full bloom - until now! Isn't it pretty? Back to Mark. He had a bowling party this year. It is all the rage in the kindergarten set (and much more budget friendly than last year's Pump It Up party!). Here are some of Mark's friends gettin' their bowl on!

Grandma and Grandpa sent Mark an adorable cookie bouquet :)

And Daddy bought him this skateboard. I am NOT a fan. Our neighborhood had NO flat streets and NO sidewalks. Do the math.

Here is Mark enjoying his party. The gentleman taking the really good pictures is the father of one of Mark's friends. He is a professional :)

And, just for fun, here are Mark and his buddy from across the street putting those Incredible Hulk fighting gloves to their intended use. What is it with boys and fighting???
